Back to the Track: regional racing grants 2018

The NSW Government is pleased to be able to present a new, one-off grants program to support the vitality of thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racecourses and clubs across regional and remote NSW.

The Back to the Track: regional racing grants program provides up to $20,000 for projects, events and programs that build and enhance connections with existing communities and foster new and stronger connections with regional communities. Examples of projects could include:

  • new racing events oriented towards new markets
  • sport and community events held at racecourses showcasing an alternative use for the track to support tourism and/or promotion of the racecourse as a venue for the community
  • youth or targeted training and education programs to foster local career pathways in racing.
