Cricket NSW are the first organisation to partner in our Reclaim the Game program. Together we have developed a strategic two year partnership, to address the normalisation of sports betting, and raise awareness of the risks associated with gambling.

This partnership will support Cricket NSW in their efforts to provide a family-friendly sporting experience at the Big Bash League, free of sports betting advertising and sponsorship.

Cricket NSW is leading the field with its stance on sports betting advertising and sponsorship, and its players are excited to have the opportunity to make a positive contribution to our community’s attitudes towards sport and sports betting.

The two-year partnership spans across Cricket NSW brands, the Blues, the Breakers, and the Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder men’s and women’s teams.

In addition to saying no to wagering advertising and promotion at NSW Big Bash League events, the partnership will see the Office of Responsible Gambling take up ‘Presenting Partner’ rights to one Sydney Sixers and one Sydney Thunder match this season, as well as providing gambling awareness education to Cricket NSW staff and players.

Read the media release for more information about the partnership.
